We’re proud to introduce the filmmakers behind Vol. 4 of Coffeehouse Cinema.

With each screening, something has become undeniably clear: the response to Coffeehouse Cinema isn’t just growing, it’s felt. The excitement, the curiosity, the conversations before and after the films… it’s all palpable. When we talk to people about what this is and what it represents, it resonates on a deeper level than we could have anticipated.

For another consecutive screening, we sold out faster than before. But what’s mattered even more is what’s happening around the screenings. People aren’t just attending. They’re leaning in. They’re staying after. They’re bringing friends. They’re coming back.

What started as a small idea is turning into something with real weight—something that lives beyond a single night. Coffeehouse Cinema is becoming a space where films are not just watched, but experienced collectively. Where discovery feels intentional. Where connection feels natural.

We’ve been building this across every touchpoint: through the newsletter, on Instagram, on TikTok, but the most meaningful part is still in the room. That energy, that shared experience, is what continues to drive everything forward.

And that momentum is something we feel—and carry—with a real sense of responsibility.

This is still early, but you can feel it now.

Limited Tickets Available at the Door

We will be offering very limited tickets at the door for our next Coffeehouse Cinema screening. If you are still planning to come, we recommend arriving early at 7:00p. We will try to seat as many people as we can.

Location:
File Systems of Coffee
6051 Melrose Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90038

Coffeehouse Cinema T-Shirts Available

We’re also excited to finally introduce Coffeehouse Cinema merch! Wooo!!

The merch is for people who believe in watching movies in unconventional spaces. It’s for builders. It’s for those who are excited about where cinema is going, not just where it’s been.

If you’re someone who believes in the future of movies, this is your t-shirt. You can purchase online HERE.

What the Night Will Look Like

The evening will feature two short film screenings, followed by a Q and A with the filmmakers. After the discussion, we will transition into a social hour, where we will be serving coffee and charcuterie and opening the space for conversation between filmmakers and the audience.

Introducing the Coffee Menu (or Films) for Coffeehouse Cinema Vol. 4

Meet the Filmmakers for Coffeehouse Cinema Vol. 4

We’re proud to introduce the filmmakers behind Vol. 4 of Coffeehouse Cinema. These artists represent a new wave of emerging voices—filmmakers making deliberate choices with a clear point of view in every frame.

That level of intention matters.

This volume is especially meaningful to us. It’s not every day you get to screen an Academy Award-winning short film. And it’s just as rare to present a film produced by a past Coffeehouse Cinema filmmaker, shot by an Academy Award-winning director. To share both on the same night is an honor, and we’re grateful to the filmmakers for trusting us with their work.

We’re committed to creating a space where these films can exist in conversation with one another. When curated with care, something larger begins to take shape—patterns emerge, themes connect, and a shared language forms between filmmaker and audience.

That’s what makes this experience distinct.

It’s not just about watching films. It’s about engaging with them.

Vol. 4 continues that effort.

Matthew Puccini - Callback

Even though Matthew can’t join us, Matt Kazman who brought us Donkey for CHC Vol. 1, produced this amazing film and will happily speak to our audience about it.

Sam Davis - The Singers

Sam was also the cinematographer for Callback, so it’s our privilege to have him there to discuss it with Matt.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported Coffeehouse Cinema so far, whether you bought a ticket, shared a post, or simply showed interest in what we are building. We are excited to gather with you, watch these films together, and open up the conversation afterward.

If you are joining us on Thursday, we cannot wait to see you. And if you are just discovering Coffeehouse Cinema, there is more to come.

See you at the Coffeehouse.
