We’re proud to introduce the filmmakers behind Vol. 6 of Coffeehouse Cinema.

This volume came together through a mix of care, instinct, and sheer willpower. In many ways, it feels like a turning point for us. With each screening, the response to Coffeehouse Cinema has become harder to ignore. People are not just showing up. They are staying, talking, bringing friends, coming back, and helping this become something that lives beyond a single night.

As we prepare to move into a new, larger venue, we’re thinking a lot about what it means to grow without losing the intimacy that made this special in the first place. More space gives us the chance to elevate the Coffeehouse Cinema experience, but the heart of it remains the same: intentional curation, real community, and films experienced together in a room that feels alive.

Vol. 6 marks the beginning of that next chapter. We are incredibly proud of these movies and even prouder to introduce the filmmakers behind them.

What the Night Will Look Like

The evening will feature three short film screenings, followed by a Q and A with the filmmakers. After the discussion, we will transition into a social hour, where we will be serving coffee and charcuterie and opening the space for conversation between filmmakers and the audience.

Meet the Filmmakers for Coffeehouse Cinema Vol. 6

We’re proud to introduce the filmmakers behind Vol. 6 of Coffeehouse Cinema. These artists are the new wave of emerging voices in film that are making deliberate choices with a clear mission in every frame.

This volume plays with the idea of how important community is. How having one person no matter if you met them that night or known them for years, can change your perspective on a situation. In Play Hard, Can I Put You On Hold?, and The Sweatshirt, community is shown in different ways, but all with a similar message.

We are excited to bring these films into a new and bigger space where these films can find themselves in our conversations with one another. We can’t wait to see what you all think about how themes interlink in these stories, and give us your own insight into the films.

That’s what Coffeehouse Cinema is all about.

It’s not just about watching films. It’s about sitting with them, seeing parts of ourselves in them, and talking to each other about them.

Vol. 6 is going to be no different in that sense.
